I'll post articles and pictures here related to my hobby. .... and I'll
start with my photographic history;
I've been interrested in photo at least since I was in my early teens. I got my first pentax compact when I was around 15, and shot quite a few rolls of film.
My digital days started with a Trust Familycam 510....
a crappy 1 megapixel camera. Even a bad cell-phone
camera is better. After shooting lots of pictures,
and having lots of fun, I decided I needed a camera
with more settings; letting me control more. Better
image quality would also be most welcome. That's when I bought my Olympus C-750UZ, a 4Mpix 10x zoom camera (38-380mm). It had all the (manual) settings
which let me take more creative pictures (even though they were not really that good..... but at least, I had much fun!).
I soon added some accessories to my kit; a tripod, PL-CIR filter, Olympus TCON-17 teleconverter, Olympus WCON-08 wideangleconverter and an FL36 flash.
I used that setup for a couple of years ... until the time had come for mye first DSLR;
Olympus E-500. My E-500 followed me everywhere for a couple of years. I think the shuttercount
has passed at least 50.000. I got a couple of lenses along the way..., and started using a couple of really old Olympus OM Zuiko lenses.
Then again... in December 2007, after two years with my trusty E-500, Olympus introduced the E-3, and I was sold. ... and now, my girlfriend and I have the following equipment....;
2x Olympus E-3 with HLD-4. 2x FL-50R, Some Zuiko Digital lenses...; 7-14 f/4, 14-45 f/3.5-5.6, 14-54 f/2.8-2.5, 40-150 f/3.5-4.5, 50 f/2. ... and as I needed a fast prime that was wider than
my 50/2, I've gotten myself a PanaLeica 25mm f/1.4 as well.
I've also got myself some studio equipement... a couple of bacgrounds, some flashes and some umbrellas and softboxes. That's a long way from my first camera... Lately, I've jumped onto MicroFourthirds as well.., having had (and sold) an E-PL2 and have gotten myself an OM-D E-M5. ... Along with HLD-6 and lenses like 12-50, 40-150, 45/1.8 and 14/2.5.
The OM collection
As mentioned, I started using some old OM-lenses with my E-500, before I could afford any other primes. I really enjoyed using those, and would love to use other OM Zuikos as well. ..., and that started my "passion" for the Olympus OM system. It all started with my 50mm f/1.4. I used it for a project; use 50mm f/1.4 (and that lens alone) for one month and produce one image each day. I really liked the 50mm and had no problems with the manual focus and manual aperature settings. It just gave me even more control of the exposure. So lately, I started collecting the fast OM Zuiko primes and the Olympus OM bodies. And this is the list of equipment I've got so far;
